Interval Cardio Training - Quick & Effective Trick to Lose Fat

So you want to lose weight and you may be thinking about getting on one of those elliptical machines or stairclimbers at the gym or perhaps getting some fresh air by going outdoors for a run or a bicycle ride. That used to be the way many people went about their quest to lose weight. You still see plenty of people in the gym occupying rows of cardio machines.

The concept behind interval cardio training is that you do shorter, high intensity spurts of cardiovascular exercise, recover, and then repeat. Even though you do have recovery time after each repetition, you do not go all the way back to your resting heart rate. You want to catch you breathe and then go all out again.
You repeat this based on either a specific distance or time frame. In the beginning, you may need to have your recovery period be a little longer than your high intensity activity but as time goes on your body will become more conditioned to need less recovery time.

What happens is your body is challenged to excel beyond a normal steady state and it works harder. Because it is working harder, you burn more calories by staying in a fat burning state much longer than if you just did a steady cardio exercise pace for 45-60 minutes. Typically for steady state cardiovascular exercise, your body stays in the fat burning state for approximately a few hours after you finish your workout.

However, for interval cardio training, your body stays in the fat burning state for up to 24+ hours afterward. Yes, that means up to an entire day or more that you will reap the benefits of your cardio workout. The best part is your interval cardio workout only lasts about 30 minutes including the warm-up and cool down.

Interval cardio training keeps your body in the fat burning zone longer while also getting you out of the gym faster so you can get on with your day and have some fun. It is basically a win-win situation. You will know this is not too good to be true once you try it out and see for yourself how much interval cardio training makes you work. You will feel pushed throughout your workout and will leave the gym knowing you had a great session.
